Delete Your Data
arc respects your right to control your personal data. This page covers deleting app data, website beta applications, cloud data, optional model-improvement contributions we may hold, and optional third-party AI access you may have enabled.
| Data type | Where it usually lives | How to delete it |
|---|---|---|
| Local sessions. | Your iPhone. | Delete sessions in-app, delete all app data, or uninstall ARC. |
| Beta application record. | ARC website application records. | Email [email protected] with the application email. |
| Model-improvement material. | Optional contributions, if eligible and retained. | Email a model-improvement deletion request. |
| External AI access. | Your local ARC settings and provider account. | Remove your stored provider key and use provider controls when needed. |
Delete Local App Data
All swing sessions, video clips, biomechanics data, and coaching reports are stored locally on your iPhone. To delete this data:
- Open the arc app
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Tap "Delete All Data"
- Confirm the deletion
Alternatively, uninstalling the arc app from your iPhone will remove all locally stored data permanently.
Delete Individual Sessions
You can delete specific sessions without removing all data:
- Open the Replay tab
- Swipe left on the session you want to delete
- Tap "Delete"
Delete Website Beta Application Data
If you requested golfer beta access or applied as a coach or partner, you can ask us to remove your email, application profile, and attribution data:
Email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the email address you used to sign up.
We will delete your record within 7 business days and confirm the deletion by email.
Delete Optional Model-Improvement Contributions
If you contributed optional feedback, shot-review corrections, benchmark pairings, or other material used to improve arc models, you can ask us to remove that material from future training and dataset exports.
Email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Model Improvement Deletion Request".
Include the email tied to your account or waitlist signup, plus any helpful details such as session dates or the kind of contribution you want removed.
We will stop using newly collected material for that purpose and remove eligible stored material from future training and dataset exports.
For some model families, a deletion request may not retroactively remove your influence from a model that was already trained before your request. In those cases, your stored material will still be removed from future retraining pipelines where applicable.
Turn Off Optional External AI Access
If you added your own Claude API key to use ARC's optional external AI route, you can remove it from the app at any time:
- Open the arc app
- Go to Account
- Open AI Accounts
- Tap "Remove Stored Claude Key"
Removing the stored key stops new requests from ARC from being sent through that provider route.
If you want records held by your third-party AI provider deleted, you may also need to use that provider's own controls or contact that provider directly. Requests sent with a user-provided Claude key are processed by Anthropic under that provider's own terms and retention policies.
Delete Cloud Sync Data
If you enabled optional cloud sync, your session data may be stored on our servers. To delete cloud-synced data:
- Open the arc app → Settings → Cloud Sync
- Tap "Delete Cloud Data"
- Confirm the deletion
Or email [email protected] with a deletion request.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your data, the following is permanently removed:
- All swing session recordings and video clips
- Biomechanics data and coaching reports
- Club distance statistics and session analytics
- Voice command history (already not stored — processed in real-time)
- Beta application email, role/profile, and attribution or request data (if requested)
- Eligible optional model-improvement material we still store in a user-linked form
- Stored third-party AI API keys saved locally in ARC when you remove them from the app or delete local app data
Data We May Retain
Aggregated or de-identified usage statistics that cannot reasonably be traced back to an individual user may be retained for product improvement purposes. We may also retain limited records needed to comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, or document that a privacy request was completed.
We do not control records a third-party AI provider may retain under that provider's own policies when you choose to send requests through your own provider account.
Privacy Rights Requests
If you are exercising rights under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA or GDPR, you can use the same email channel above to request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent. We may ask for enough information to verify the request before acting on it.
